Why Seat style coolers are better than dodgy custom ones

Had a bright idea. Justjap 300x280x76mm intercooler would work a treat in the POG, cheap too

Well, sorta works, just missing a piece but looks weird sitting do far to one side...

Is it normal to have more clearance to the crashbar on the left side than right???? Almost looks like the radiator has moved back on the left side....

76mm core is about as thick as you can go .... Was a tight squeeze. Sits waay too far to the left.

LOL, man, should have just done the tried and tested and saved the hassle.
The seatsport one works well, is reasonably priced and most importantly it fits.

Yeah I was tempted by one of those justjap ones when I was looking around recently.. In the end I went with the eBay knock off seat sport one, but I can understand your reasoning. Hopefully it turns out ok for you

All good, only took 3 hours to get it done. Need another 2" alloy coupler to finish it but otherwise all good. Can't figure out where to get one in Perth

Ended up ordering one from Ebay. Spend most of my time redoing the garden instead

Looks like I'll be driving around with 2 intercoolers for a bit ... But only one actually doing anything.....

41 degrees today and car still feels like it has most of its power (unlike with stock cooler) happy days! Now if only the a/c would stay cold .... Seems to be a vent flap issue as it suddenly goes really hot for no reason.
