    Abs dash light code 01276

Hi all, i have been getting the dash lights going off on my Mk6 Gti, i finally got it scanned and it came up with the following faults.

At first this was intermittent but has since become permanent.
Here's the strange bit, if i turn car on with foot on brake pedal i get no warnings until i release brake. Any ideas?
I have checked speed sensors. I've checked the fuses/ removed and cleaned the engine bay area fuse box.

I'm starting to lean towards replacing pump now unless there's another common issue i may have missed.

    Cheers.

I had similar issues with a '97 Volvo 850 ( which had similar ATE abs as my Mk4 Golf).
There was a small connector for the pump which was easily removed and I hooked up
a couple of wires and confirmed the pump was OK, cleaned the connector but the fault persisted.
There was also a much larger connector to the abs control unit, a thorough clean resolved the
problem for a few months. Turns out that the control unit was prone to dry joints were the connector
joined the printed circuit board so I had to replace the whole unit.

I've got a MkVI 118TSI. I haven't run the fault codes but i occasionally get an ABS / ESP error with several beeps while driving. The error clears when the car is restarted. I've read it can be the ABS module or even dirty sensors. This guy made a tutorial. Pics don't load for me though:

Hi, yes that's how mine started as well. I did wheel speed sensors but no luck.
Pump works fine on Vag-com checks as long as foot on brake from turning on.
If pedal released communication is lost to the module.
My module is 1ko 907 379 AM. Anyone know what is interchangeable with this unit?

You need to check all powers and earths + signals/CAN signals to the ABS pump itself. You can potentially rule out a CANBUS issue as high speed can which means all of drivetrain would cut out. I would not be spending the money on a new pump untill you ensure 100% it is the pump.

@ the ABS pump connector back probe these connectors:

Pin 1 red/yellow should be battery voltage
    Pin 32 red/white battery voltage
    Pin 8 black/purple Battery voltage

Pin 47 0v (or as close to 0v as possible, no more than 0.4v)

If all these are correct, then replace the J104 ABS control unit.

Update on this, I fitted a new pump assembly with part num 1K0 907 379 BE.
This has stopped lights flashing but as yet i have not been able to lock in the G85 steering sensor for some reason so I still have lights on dash. It has locked in all other sensors etc.
No answers from the Ross Tech site as to why yet.

Update, I have finally gotten the new module coded and all is working perfect now.
The valve calibrations needed to be done first to set G85 sensor.
