Why wont google chrome keep me signed in to this forum?

    Hi Peeps,

I notice that when I close a browser down and re-open I have to log in again to this forum. It is the only forum which does this to me.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers

No problem with Chrome. When you log in, choose remember me.

Been happening to me for months on both Chrome and IE.

When i access the forum, it says im logged out.....BUT if you click on a topic (even just click "Todays Posts") then it logs me back in automatically. Try that and see if it works.

Are you guys using an old link/bookmark which goes to the old .org.au domain? (we are using .com.au now and have been for a while).

Clicking a link to .org.au will redirect to the current .com.au domain so everything looks like it works, but then the cookie that your browser uses to keep you logged in doesn't match the .org.au site it's expecting. Clicking another link on the site itself then has the correct .com.au domain now things match and BAM you're logged in again.

Long story short, check your links.

On a side note, I'm using Chrome (on a Mac) and it works perfectly for me (so does Safari and Firefox) as well as Chrome and Firefox on the work computer which both seem to work too.

Failing the old bookmark potential you can try clearing cookies and cache and hoping for the best.

Let me know if you are still having issues and I'll see what I can see.

^ yep - old bookmark for me. Changed "org" to "com" and it logged me back in. Will update bookmark now. Thanks Hawk.

    Edit: Yep that fixed it.
