- Premiere at Geneva Motor Show 2016
- Multivan with great off-road competence
- All-round talent in robust outfit
- Flexible and exclusive for individualists
Hannover, 1 March 2016 – Real freedom: The new Multivan PanAmericana is not only able to be flexibly utilised, but is also robust enough for off-road use.
Here comes the solution for modern individualists: the new Multivan PanAmericana combines the comfort of the Multivan with the off-road capability of an SUV. No matter where you plan to go, the Multivan PanAmericana is supremely up to the task!
What only a few months ago was being presented at the IAA as a concept car, is available from May as a full-production vehicle – a Bulli for all individualists.
With the help of its extra 20mm of ground clearance (which it can optionally be ordered without) and 17″ alloy wheels (18″ as an option), the new Multivan PanAmericana can conquer even tough terrain with no problem at all. Featuring front and rear bumpers painted in a textured effect, designer underride protection at front and back, side sill attachments and stone guard film along the lower sides of the vehicle, it is easily up to the requirements of off-road driving.
In addition to these functional highlights, the Multivan PanAmericana also scores with a striking and simultaneously refined outfit: tinted rear windows, smoked LED rear lights, a Highline radiator grille and the classy PanAmericana logo on the B-pillars stylishly guarantee an imperious presence in visual terms as well.
However, it is not only from the outside that the Multivan PanAmericana impresses: the optional checker plate floor in the passenger compartment and rugged rubber floor mats can cope even with muddy mountain bikes or snow-covered snowboards. Ready for the next adventure!
The concept of a multi-functional yet stylish all-rounder that can also be used in rugged conditions is consistently carried through to the end here with multifunctional leather steering wheel, leather gearshift knob, Climatronic, entry lights with PanAmericana lettering and pedals in stainless steel look.
The entire interior features a mix of high-quality, yet simultaneously hard-wearing materials: typical styling elements, such as seats with the special ‘Mithy’ (black and white) insert, Alcantara pads and edging U-seams in appropriately contrasting colour, as well as optional bi-colour leather trim, underline the exclusive character of this special edition Multivan.
In addition to the proven 4MOTION all-wheel drive, the new Multivan PanAmericana is also being sold for the first time as a pure front-wheel drive vehicle, thus offering great variety and freedom for individual possible uses even at the point of deciding which version to buy.
As a petrol or diesel version with front- or all-wheel drive the new Multivan PanAmericana, except for the 62 kW TDI, is available with all engine specification variants.
The prices for the adventurous Multivan have not yet been set. It is anticipated that customers will be able to place orders from early May.
