Five stars for Audi Q3 in Australian crash ranking ANCAP

The Audi Q3 achieved the top rating of five stars in the Australian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). The program’s scope includes a crash into a barrier, a side-on crash and a collision with a pedestrian. The backers of the ANCAP include Australian and New Zealand automobile clubs and the governments of both countries. The SUV had already achieved the top score in the EURO NCAP last year. EURO NCAP: five stars for the new Audi A3

The Audi A3 achieved the top rating of five stars in the EURO NCAP crash test. Across all categories, the model amassed 88 points out of 100. The European New Car Assessment Program not only looks at safety for adults and children, but also takes protection of pedestrians into account. The ratings are in addition affected by a car’s safety features that are designed to guard against accidents. (August 29, 2012)

Total Quality Index™: Audi becomes top brand of 2012

According to the U.S.-based “Total Quality Index™” (TQI), Audi is the top brand in the automotive sector in 2012, scoring 918 out of a maximum of 1,000 points. It is based on a customer satisfaction study which involves asking over 45,000 car drivers for feedback on new cars. The Audi A8 has also received the distinction of “Best Model and Luxury Car”.

The Audi A4 captured top spot in the “Near-Luxury Car” category, among other reasons thanks to its progressive design and reliability. The award is presented annually by the U.S. market researcher “Strategic Vision” from San Diego. (August 29, 2012)

AUTO BILD Design Award: Audi A3 tops the compact category

In this year’s AUTO BILD Design Award the magazine’s readers voted the new Audi A3 the most attractive car in the small and compact category. For this European poll, almost 100,000 voters gave their verdict on the most attractive cars of 2012. 136 current models in five categories qualified for the vote. (August 10, 2012)

Three first places for Audi in “Autonis” design award

In the “Best New Design 2012” poll held by the magazine “auto motor und sport” Audi came out on top in three out of eight categories. Almost half of nearly 15,000 people casting their votes rated the A1 Sportback as the best model in the compact cars category. The Audi A3 also put in a convincing performance, capturing 42.7 percent of the votes for compact cars. The outcome of the reader poll among off-roaders was emphatic: The Audi Q5 won by a margin of over ten percentage points over its closest challengers. A total of 102 new models appearing over the past twelve months were eligible for the poll. (September 18, 2012)
