The new $1.2 million Audi Centre Wagga will hold its gala opening on Wednesday 27 June 2012. More than 120 guests will attend the event to officially welcome the Audi brand in Wagga, along with Audi Australia’s Managing Director, Uwe Hagen, and TV personality, Catriona Rowntree.

The brand new 501 square metre Audi Centre Wagga is the very first rural facility of its kind to be built according to the German luxury brand’s global ‘terminal’ showroom design.

The single storey facility, located at 50 Dobney Avenue, Wagga Wagga, offers an internal ground floor display area of 331 square metres, space for 8 new cars, and an additional 170 square metres, space for 10 pre-owned vehicles on prominent display at the front of the new dealership.

Service will initially be incorporated into an existing on site facility with factory trained technicians using all the latest Audi service equipment however a six-hoist Audi exclusive service facility is expected to be added within 12-24 months.

Neville Jacob is Managing Director of the Jason Wagga Group. As a long-established family business, Neville Jacob’s group of companies has run its own building program for many years, and the new Audi Centre Wagga was constructed as an Owner/ Builder project.

Susan Jacob was Project Manager and many Wagga-based sub-contractors worked on the building project. Construction began in October 2011 and was fully completed by April 2012.

Dealer Principal, Stephen Hodgson, will be supported by a team of six experienced staff.

According to Mr Jacob, the dealership is a very fitting representation for Audi in Wagga and is the result of the German luxury brand’s growth in Australia.

“Our company is very proud to be associated with Audi. We welcome the opportunity to embrace this prestige brand and introduce it to one of the largest regional centres in NSW, bringing facilities and services to this region and community, offering customers choice and range usually only seen in metropolitan areas,” Mr Jacob said.

“We are committed to the growth of the Audi brand, and to our business’ here in Wagga Wagga. We are also committed to the staff who work here, and our focus has always been on the customer, ensuring that they receive the highest level of customer service across the entire business operation, from sales through to Aftersales and everything in between.”

Audi Australia’s managing director, Uwe Hagen, says Audi is similarly pleased to see such a statement facility open in Wagga Wagga.

“This project, along with many others which are under construction around the country, represents Audi’s growing strength in Australia. It is part of our strategic development plan to prepare our facilities for the expansion of the Audi model range in the next few years,” Mr Hagen said.

“As we head towards 2015, our model range will increase from 32 to 42 new models and our dealerships must be able to showcase these vehicles for customers, whether they are based in the city or large regional centres like Wagga.”

With its striking, folded honeycomb-pattern brushed aluminium façade, the new Audi Centre Wagga dealership clearly reflects the brand’s global architecture. The curved windows and curved surfaces inside the striking silver-clad showroom recall the dynamism of Audi’s long and successful motorsport history.

Trading began from the new showroom in February 2012, however the official opening event for the facility is being held on 27th June 2012.
