Audi Australia has recognised the top performing dealerships of 2011 with its annual ‘Audi Mark of Excellence Awards’, presented at a gala dinner in Broome, WA.

Audi Centre Canberra was awarded Metropolitan Dealer of the Year 2011, now the fifth time the Canberra dealership has won the top honour. The Canberra team won the award for top Provincial dealership in 2007 and 2008, and then again in 2009 and 2010 after the dealership became a fully-fledged metropolitan operation.

Dealer Principal, Richard Rolfe, together with his team, showed clear determination to stay in the number one position, and the result is a fifth consecutive year as the top-performing dealership with the four rings.

Audi Barry Bourke first opened its doors as an Audi dealership in August 2009 and in that short time, have proven their mettle as the number one Provincial/Rural operation in the country.

The annual Mark of Excellence Awards recognises the contribution of all Audi dealerships, following the company’s seventh year of growth in 2011.

The company’s managing director, Uwe Hagen, presented the trophies, congratulating the winning dealerships, along with all Audi dealers who displayed excellence in dealership performance and professionalim across all areas of the business from sales to after-sales.

“The annual Mark of Excellence Awards allows us to formally and publicly recognise and reward top performance within our network. Our dealerships are our frontline to the customer, and therfore as a premium brand, it is essential that we are able to offer the best customer experience possible,” Mr Hagen said.

In second place were Audi Centre Cairns (Provincial) and Audi Alto Pennant Hills (Metropolitan). Cairns achieved 3’d place in 2008.

In third place were Audi Centre Townsville (Provincial) and Audi Centre Sydney (Metropolitan). Both dealerships have been on the Mark of Excellence podium in previous years, with Townsville claiming second place in 2007 and the top honour in 2009 and 2010. Audi Centre Sydney achieved second place in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Mr Hagen says the Mark of Excellence awards aren’t a popularity contest, or an award for the most sales.

“They are designed to recognise and reward the dealership that performs the best in relation to targets across the board in the areas of sales, aftersales, customer satisfaction and, as our brand continues to grow in Australia, dealership facilities are also a focus as they need to reflect excellence within the industry.”

“It’s an emotional award ceremony as it reflects the hard work of the entire Audi team. Like any good network, we’re all involved in friendly competition – it’s what pushes us all to be the best,” Mr Hagen added.
