Škoda Takes Out Wheels Magazine’s ‘Gold Star Value’ Award for the Third Consecutive Year

Wheels Magazine recently announced its 2011 ‘Gold Star Value’ Awards which saw the ŠKODA Superb take top honours in the large car segment between $45 – 55K for the third year running. In addition, the ŠKODA Octavia 103TDI Sedan was also awarded first place in the medium $31K – 45K category.

Vehicles were judged on their price, warranty, service intervals, resale value, insurance premium and annual fuel costs; with the Superb and Octavia beating all others in their respective class.

Matthew Wiesner, Head of ŠKODA, comments: “For the Superb and Octavia to be recognised as the best value cars by one of in industry’s most respected magazines is a huge honour.

“Furthermore, for the Superb to be award this accolade for the third consecutive year is testament to our brand and continued success here in Australia.”

Wheels Magazine’s ‘Gold Star Value’ looked at cars in 18 different categories ranging from light vehicles under $20K to sports roadsters under $150K. The complete results are available in the current issue of Wheels Magazine.
