Volkswagen drivers dominate at the Nürburgring
Three races, three victories: The Volkswagen drivers were the measure of all things during the British Formula 3 Championship’s visit to the Nürburgring. The Carlin Motorsport trio Kevin Magnussen, Jack Harvey and Felipe Nasr secured the three race victories in the Eifel. Thanks to his fifth success of the season plus and a second and fourth place the Brazilian Nasr clearly extended his overall lead to 75 points. Three other drivers with engines from Wolfsburg – Rupert Svendsen-Cook, guest entrant Antonio Félix da Costa and Carlos Huertas – finished on the podium as well.

Double victory for Steve Chaplin
At the British Volkswagen Racing Cup’s only foreign round Steve Chaplin was unbeatable. The Beetle racer commandingly won both races on the Dutch dune circuit at Zandvoort. Joe Fulbrook finished the seventh race of the season as the runner-up; third place was taken by Peter Lettinga. Victory at the eighth race went to the leader of the standings, Chaplin, in front of the Golf drivers Zoe Wenham and Tim Snaylam.

Fredrik Ekblom takes lead of the standings
A successful race weekend for Fredrik Ekblom: The Volkswagen driver achieved a start-finish victory at the first race of the Swedish Touring Car Championship round at Falkenberg. The 40-year-old in his Volkswagen Scirocco powered by bio natural gas came eighth at the second race that featured a reversed grid. After five of nine race weekends Ekblom now leads the standings. His team-mate Patrik Olsson finished in fourth and fifth place on the 1.843-kilometre circuit.
